The border of Europe and Asia
Yekaterinburg is the largest city on the overland border of Europe and Asia. Here you can get from Europe to Asia and back by just making one step. The border of the parts of the world, a unique geographical place, is situated in 17 kilometres from the city. In 2004 the symbol of Europe and Asia was set up in the place where the borders cross. Two stones symbolizing the unity of two parts of the world were put in the foundation of the symbol. One of the stones was brought from the extreme point of Europe — Cabo da Roca, the other one — from the extreme point of the Asian part of the continent — Cape Dezhnyov.
The excursion can be combined with the "Yekaterinburg — the capital of the Urals" excursion.
