Trans-Siberian Tour (13 days/12 nights)
Day 1. Irkutsk, City tour
Arrival in Irkutsk. Meeting with the guide, check-in the hotel
Irkutsk is a very important city in Eastern Siberia. Here you will start a legendary Trans-Siberian Tour and you will have a wonderful opportunity to explore Russia from east to west by train. During this excursion you will see historical centre of the city, place of foundation of Irkutsk fortress, memorial of Admiral Kolchak (hero of the Civil war), most beautiful churches, have walking tour at Quarter 130 (the oldest district at Irkutsk reconstructed by plans). Additionally you can visit Museum of Decembrists and learn more about their life in Siberia or visit Ethnography Museum of Irkutsk.
Day 2. Irkutsk Excursion to Listvyanka.
Village Listvyanka is the nearest to the city point of Baikal coast. During excursion you will see Saint-Nicholas church, viewing platform at Chersky Stone with using chairlift, the fish and souvenir market and, of course, the coast of Lake Baikal. Also we will visit the Ethnography Museum “Taltsy” (unique monuments of the XVII –XX century that show Russian, Buryat, Evenk and Tofalar ways of life), Baikal Limnological Museum (unique museum that studies flora and fauna of Baikal and even has aquarium with inhabitants of the lake), order boat trip and dinner.
Day 3. Irkutsk, Lake Bailkal
Today you will have a whole day trip along Circum-Baikal Railway. This railroad was built on the western side of the lake included 38 tunnels with the overall length of 9063 m. This tour by Circum-Baikal Railway is very comfortable and impressive. It is interesting because all the original design of this railway was kept by locals and you can feel the hostorical atmosphere and enjoy the scenery from the window.
Overnight in Irkutsk.
Day 4. Irkutsk – Krasnoyarsk
Early in the morning we will board the train to Krasnoyarsk and continue our Trans-Siberian railway tour. Our journey will take around 18 hours. Lunch and dinner on board. In the evening, arrival in Krasnoyarsk. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 5. Krasnoyarsk, city tour
During this excursion you will see the most interesting places of Krasnoyarsk: Mira square with outstanding view of Yenisei, the monument to Andrew Dubenskoy, Praskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel, view-point – the Karaulnaya hill for enjoying the panoramic view.
Free time to explore the town.
Day 6. Krasnoyarsk Day trip to the National Park «Stolby»
Today we will explore one of the most beautiful national park in Russia. You will get unforgettable impressions and you will have the most beautiful scenery photographies! After this excursion you will become an admirer of Russian nature.
Boarding the train to Ekaterinburg.
Day 7. Krasnoyarsk – Ekaterinburg
Our journey will last around 36 hours. Lunch and dinner on board. In the evening, arrival in Krasnoyarsk.
Day 8. In the train – Ekaterinburg
Arrival in Ekaterinburg. Transfer to the hotel. Free time.
Day 9. Ekaterinburg. City tour, Monastery Ganina Yama, Border between Europe and Asia
During this excursion you will know the history and legends of Yekaterinburg . The excursion starts in the heart of Yekaterinburg – the Historical Square of the city! You will see the plan of the city, the monuments of city founders, the first plant, the Dam, the Chapel of St.Ekaterina – the patroness of the city. During the excursion you will walk along the old streets of Yekaterinburg that preserved the style of the XIX century, you will see the unique monuments of industrial architecture of the XVIII century, mansions of the XVIII-XIX century — the Sevastianov's mansion, the Kharitonov-Rastorguev's mansion, learn about the literary and theatrical life of Yekaterinburg and also see the face of modern city. You also will visit the Church on the Blood that is situated instead Ipatiev House where Nicolas II and his family lived and were killed After lunch you will visit the Monastery Ganina Yama where you will know about history of the last tsar and his family. After you will visit an amazing place – the Border between Europe and Asia.
Day 9. Ekaterinburg – Nevyanskaya Leaning tower.
Today you will go to Nevyansk – the oldest center of the Ural Steel. And you will visit here its famous leaning tower- the monument of the XVIII c. During the excursion you see the first lightning rod, a secret laboratory for the production false coins, the auditory room, where you can hear every woed spoken in a whisper, an amazing antique clock which was more expensive when buying the tower itself!
Transfer to the railway station. We will board the train to Moscow. Our journey will take around 30 hours. Dinner on board.
Day 10. In the train – Moscow
Meal on board. Arrival to Moscow in the evening. Check-in the hotel.
Day 11. Moscow, City tour
During excursion you will observe ancient architecture, majestic cathedrals, avenues, squares, modern skyscrapers and the most interesting places of Moscow such as The Kremlin from all sides, Stalin's skyscrapers, the Bolotnaya square, the Novodevichy Convent, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Vorobyovy Gory, Poklonnaya hill and the arc de Triomphe, Business center "Moscow-city" and the Kutuzovsky prospectus, the House – the Russian government building in Moscow, Tverskaya street and the monument to the founder of Moscow –Yuri Dolgoruky, Moscow's Manezh square, the The Bolshoi theatre. Also you can visit the St. Basil's Cathedral, that was built during reign of Ivan the terrible to commemorate the victory over Kazan khanate.
Day 12. Moscow Tretyakov Gallery
Today you will visit one of the largest museums that has an exhibition of Russian art from its origins till the XX century, i.e. from anonymous Russian icons to the paintings signed by Kandinsky and Malevich. Today you will have a short excursion, as the museum has more than 100,000 pieces so you need more than 1 week to see everything. In the afternoon you will have a free time.
